Maine’s Welcome Back Center

To build a bridge between the pool of internationally trained health workers living in the United States and the need for linguistically and culturally competent health services in underserved communities.

The New Mainers Resource Center sees a significant number of foreign trained health professioanls.  Since the challenges faced by these professionals are significant given licensing requriements, with the help of support from the Betterment Foundation, NMRC has become the state affiliate of this national program.

With a dozen centers from coast to coast and years of experience working with foreign trained health professionals, NMRC can benefit from the expertise and resources of this program as it seeks to better serve foreign trained health professionals in Maine
